I
consider Spinner to be the heart and soul of Eldamar Springers.
She was born when my own kids were 6 and 2 and not only did she
help “raise” them, but raised several litters of her own.
She is the mother of 14 champions, including multiple group and
specialty winners. A natural
show dog from the start, she flew around the ring effortlessly, as noted
judge Annie Clark commented “like a bat out of hell.”
She was owner handled to 9 BOB wins, 5 group wins, including 2
group 1’s, 18 BOS awards, 1 Specialty BOB and an Award of Merit winner
at the 1993 ESSFTA Nationals in Rochester, MN. It was a sad day for us
when she passed away in Feb of 1999.
Her legacy resides in her children, especially with their silly
antics, singing and of course, grabbing (affectionately!) your arm to lead
you where she wanted you to go, or sometimes just to get your attention.
